How to Have More Fun in Labor

Hi everyone, I'm Amity Kramer and I want to tell you how you can make your labor more fun. I love it when families come together and do things that are going to make their labor better. And I don't know exactly what that's going to mean for you, but what I can tell you is you can put some thought into it and make maybe not all of your labor more fun but at least some parts of it. And I got this idea to do this video today when I was at one of my client's houses. And up on their wall was a sign, and it said, "Biking makes everything better." And I looked at that and thought, "Wow! These people really like biking." I don't like biking that much. I don't think biking makes everything better, but they do. And it's that type of spirit that I recommend you take with you to your birth. And so, if you think that costumes make everything better, by all means, bring a little costume to your birth. Maybe you wear a special gown while you're laboring. Maybe you do something extra fun, or just have something with you that remind you of your flare to bring costumes. Maybe you think aroma therapy makes everything more fun. If that's the case, then bring your aroma therapy with you to your birth. There's all sorts of things. If you think music makes things more fun, bring music, make playlists. If you think doing art makes things more fun, bring your art supplies. There are just so many things. And even if you think nature is fun, one of the things that you can do is you can actually bring things from nature into your birth to help remind you that when the birth is over and your baby is born, you will get back to nature and having fun in the great outdoors. Hope this video is helpful. Thank you for watching, bye-bye!
